Loula's cushionless seat consists of four layers: your choice of loose fill (Feather Down or Poly Fill) on top, two extra thick "comfort layers" of high-density foam for extra squish, and a "support layer" of high-density foam that sits at the center for structure and stability. The seat is fixed to the frame and is not removable.

Our lofty Feather Down is ethically-sourced, and our vegan Poly Fill is designed specifically to mimic the familiar fluff of feathers. We mix a small percentage of vegan poly fiber into the Feather Down fill for a bit of spring. Learn more about our vegan Poly Fill and Feather Down here.

First, remember to fluff your cushions. Our materials are exceptionally soft, and the cushion fill is loose—they look and feel their perky best with a bit of love now and then.

A vacuum works best for everyday dust and dirt removal (if you have an upholstery attachment, even better). Use a clean, white cloth to absorb liquid spills as soon as possible—soaking the fabric can cause stains or discoloration. Check out our blog post for more information on pre-treating and spot-cleaning.

Dry cleaning will yield the best, most dependable results for laundering your slipcover—we always recommend dry cleaning as the first line of defense. However, many of our customers have seen beautiful success with machine-washing their slipcover by following our care instructions. Wash on a gentle cycle, using cold water, gradually adding mild (brightener-free) detergent. And don't forget to close all the zippers!

Please note: You should not machine wash your slipcover if your machine has an agitator or an impeller.

Please keep in mind consistent exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading or discoloration. Read more about colorfastness and fading here.
