Firm-ish to fluffy

Essentially, how soft is the seat cushion, and what does it feel like when you first sit down? Is it very fluffy? Do you sink into the sofa or sit on the sofa?

Seat depth & back feel.

Upright to laid-back

Seat depth (from the front edge of the seat to the spot where your torso hits the back cushion), pitch (the angle of recline) and the back cushion feel together create the overall lounge-y-ness. Is it a shallow, feet-on-the floor sofa, or a legs-curled-up-with-your-book-and-the-dog sofa? Is the sitting angle more upright or more reclined? Is the cushion super soft or more supportive?

*A note about our scale

Keep one thing in mind: compared to the wide world of sofas, ours are quite fluffy. Yes, we offer products that range from fluffy to firm-ish, but the “firm” end of our spectrum won’t feel like the stiff seat in a hotel lobby or the vaguely mid-century loveseat in a doctor’s waiting room. The feather, down, vegan poly fill, and high-density foams we use to overstuff our cushions are top of the line materials intended for decadent comfort, and so our scale is adjusted for that as a starting point.
